Our Story
When we met in a rainy Edinburgh over 10 years ago, we had no idea that we would eventually be married with two small boys, and running a travel company on the Isle of Skye! What a journey it’s been!
Hi, we’re Sonja and Phil, a husband and wife team who have turned our passion and experience in tourism and hospitality into Adventures Around Skye – a tour company that aims to give you the best possible experience you can have while exploring the Isle of Skye.
We want you to walk away from your tour understanding why Skye is so special to so many people.
Our Mission
We understand that visiting Scotland and the Isle of Skye can be overwhelming. We want to make sure that your visit to Skye is as memorable and inspiring as you could hope for. There’s more to Skye than the scenery!
We’ve been tourists here, and now we’re lucky enough to call it our home. We want to show you what made us want to stay and raise our small family here.

Your Guide
With over a decade in the travel industry and exploring the world, I’ve made Skye both my home and my passion. There is so much to learn and enjoy here that I’m not sure it’ll ever grow old. I’ll be the one welcoming you on your tour — sharing stories, hidden corners, and insider tips that bring the island to life for me.
Phil
Behind the Scenes
My job here is simple: I make sure everything runs smoothly. From your first enquiry to the final detail of your itinerary, I’ll be working quietly in the background so your day goes off without a hitch. I’ve got a background in hospitality and marketing, so I love a good blether while I organise all things Adventures Around Skye.
